“Before I was too scared of using the sewing machine, but now I know those skills. Now I’m confident, teach others and feel good every day.”

Raylene is a key member of the Bábbarra Women’s Centre sewing team, and has been working at the women’s centre for many years. Raylene learned sewing from the older women at the Bábbarra Women’s Centre a long time ago, and now she teaches and mentors younger sewers. She was born in Daly River, south-west of Darwin, and has three children and two grandchildren.
