Michelle was born in Katherine and has family across the Northern Territory including Bulmun, Katherine, Beswick and Baranga (her mother’s country). Michelle is a member of the Bábbarra Women’s Centre cleaning team.

Michelle has three boys and two grandchildren who live with her in Maningrida, along with her pet billygoat named ‘Nanigut’ and black cow named ‘Lisa’.
